Associate Professor, Department of Emergency and Disaster Medicine, Juntendo University, Japan
Dr. Oba’s an expert in Emergency and disaster Medicine, Trauma-Orthopedics, and Interventional Radiology. He’s a member of the Japan Disaster Relief Medical Team (JDR) and Japan-DMAT, and an Advisory Committee Member of the ARCH2 Project, as well as the Chairman of the Research Committee for Crush Syndrome in the Japanese Association for Disaster Medicine (JADM). He has experience in disaster relief, such as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines (2013), Cyclone in Vanuatu (2015), Earthquake in Nepal (2015), Emergency humanitarian-aid and health-needs assessment for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova (2022), and Earthquake in Turkey (2023), and contributed to domestic disaster relief as well.
