2nd ASEAN Academic Conference on DHM

The 2nd ASEAN Academic Conference on Disaster Health Management (2nd AAC on DHM) was held by take place person from the 17th to the 19th October 2023 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with around 150 participants from 10 ASEAN Member States (AMS) + 1 Timor Leste State, ASEAN Secretariat, International Academic Association (WADEM), WHO, Non-ASEAN Countries, Japan, as well as delegates from Indonesia.
17th October 2023: Pre-Conference Seminar on “Safe and Resilient Health Facilities and Infrastructure”
Thematic session of the conference was held on 17th October 2023 which is “Pre-Conference Seminar on Safe and Resilient Health Facilities and Infrastructure” that was organized and facilitated by Indonesia as the lead country of the POA ALD 4.1.a: Encouragement of Public and Private Investment in Research and Innovation to Improve Safe and Resilient Health Facilities and Health Infrastructure. The objective of the session is to share knowledge and provide innovative scientific insights on the DHM and to socialize as well as discuss the integration of the Sendai Framework and Safe Hospital Concept to create safe and resilient health facilities. This session is conducted into two sessions with active discussions and sharing or exchange of country initiatives.
18th – 19th October 2023: Conference of the 2nd AAC on DHM
The biennial AAC on DHM was conducted based on one of the 21 targets of the Plan of Action (POA) to be achieved by 2025. The 2nd AAC on DHM was held on 18th – 19th October 2023 which is divided into 6 sessions with fruitful results and discussions were exchanged view in each session. The main objective is to share knowledge and provide innovative scientific insights on DHM, as well as strengthen networking among policy/decision makers, medical practitioners, and researchers/academics. The minutes during the discussion has been documented as the program report book of 2nd AAC on DHM. The conference was running according to the workplan and program that has been settled with several technical evaluations that must be considered.
